After applying online, I got a call from a district manager who wanted to meet for what felt like an informal conversation.

The interview itself was straightforward—standard questions and about an hour of discussion. The district manager told me he’d follow up and requested that other managers speak with me, which gave me some confidence that things were moving.

But then nothing came. I followed up with an email and sent a thank-you note after the discussion, yet I never heard back. I didn’t receive an offer, and honestly the biggest part of the experience wasn’t the interview—it was the silence afterward, which made it feel like I was left hanging even after doing my part to stay engaged.
