Capital One Software Engineer interview experience

Posted Nov 2022 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

For a senior associate full-stack/backend remote loop, I took a 70-minute CodeSignal OA with four questions—two easy and two medium.

After that, I did a Power Day that included online banking system design plus the same coding and case questions that had shown up for a previous post in the same overall prompt style.

The flow also included recruiter screening before the assessment, then system design, coding, behavioral questions with deep follow-ups, and then a case. I didn’t get an offer. What stood out was that the questions seemed to repeat across candidates more than I expected, so the process felt standardized even if the recruiter messaging sounded more flexible.
