I went through a fairly multi-stage process where the early conversations were mainly about getting my experience and motivations on the table, and then later rounds became more specific.

After an introduction-style call, I entered an interview sequence that stretched for about a month in total.

The second step was the most technical one: an in-depth technology interview where I was probed on how deeply I understood a language and then on other common technologies in the stack. The later stages leaned more into situational and competency-style questions, which let me explain past experiences and connect them to how I’d operate in line with the firm’s values. At each step, the interviewers gave me time to ask questions and learn about what the role actually covered.
