My Canva interview felt frustrating in a way that didn’t match how well I thought I performed.

The HR round covered basic Java concepts like hashcode/equals, inheritance versus composition, synchronization and locking, and checked versus unchecked exceptions.

Then I moved into a live coding task where I implemented topological sort and finished without issues. But the final stretch was exhausting: I had to design an e-commerce website in about 45 minutes, then answer behavioral questions for another 45 minutes. After that, I faced a coding task where I had to write HashMap functions from scratch without using utility helpers.

I felt like I nailed every part and completed everything
