I interviewed for a Software Engineer role where the process felt genuinely tough: a lengthy online coding screen, deep technical follow-up, and an HR step that determined whether I progressed.

Online coding test (Mettl) — A 2-hour assessment with four coding problems; in my case I could only complete part of the set.
Technical round — Heavier focus on Java topics like APIs and collections, plus additional coding questions.
HR / next-step discussion — A final HR round (telephonic in one step), which I found part of a high-bar overall process. Outcome: I didn’t move forward, and the difficulty was the main takeaway—especially around Java/internal-flow style questions and the coding screen.
