Cadence Design Systems Software Engineer interview experience

I went through a written/pen-and-paper style assessment first, with electronics fundamentals and circuit concepts mixed into the questions. That first stage was intense enough that it felt like it filtered heavily—there were lots of people initially, and only a subset moved forward.

After that, I entered a day that had multiple technical interviews. The format was very hands-on and focused on solving circuit/network theory and related electronics problems in a face-to-face setting. I kept rotating through different interviewers and technical rounds, and the day felt long and competitive.
