I interviewed for a Software Engineer role with a friendly, clearly staged process that went from recruiter to coding to a final video interview.

Tech recruiter screen — initial conversation about my fit.
Technical phone interview — a standard technical conversation.
Coding exercise — I completed a coding task as part of the process.
Final interview over Skype — a concluding video interview that remained friendly and expectation-driven. Outcome: I didn’t receive an offer; the takeaway was that communication about next steps felt strong.
