Fairfax, VAPosted Oct 2019 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I interviewed for Software Engineer with a lightweight technical bar—mostly phone screens and resume walkthroughs, with little to no coding.

Brief phone screen — questions on object-oriented programming, software development life cycle, SQL, plus Java and resume follow-ups.
Small phone interview — they tested whether I was passionate and asked about Java, SQL, data structures, algorithm/testing approaches.
Very simple manager phone chat — basics of programming (data structures like lists/maps) and a discussion of interest in a Java-based program vs Node.
Bosses resume reiteration — an interview where my resume was reviewed with a few technical questions and no coding. Outcome: I didn’t receive an offer;
