Chantilly, VAPosted Apr 2020 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I interviewed for Software Engineer and went through the early stages successfully, but the process collapsed during the clearance follow-up.

Phone screen — followed by an on-site visit.
On-site with whiteboard questions — I did some whiteboard-style problem work.
Security clearance process — once I completed the clearance steps, nobody contacted me.
Broken communication loop — I couldn’t reach the career team or recruiters, and the original contacts were unavailable. Outcome: I didn’t move forward; the biggest takeaway was to get expectations and contacts documented in writing.
