CACI International Software Engineer interview experience

Got offer

Hard

Positive

United StatesPosted Dec 2025 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I interviewed for Software Engineer and found the experience harder than average—either due to “gotcha” questioning or vague/obscure prompts that weren’t anchored to my resume.

Heavier experience questioning — I was questioned heavily on past experience with some hard gotcha questions, and the guidance was to be honest.
Unclear technical questioning — in another similar hard experience, the interviewer didn’t appear to read my resume and asked obscure tech questions and overly general questions, cutting me off and offering little clarification. Outcome: I didn’t report an offer; the takeaway was that success depended on being able to handle unexpected question styles while staying calm when prompts felt off-target.
