San Jose, CAPosted Jun 2021 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I interviewed for a Software Engineer position at C3AI in a difficult process with two phone screens, and the expectations and focus felt mismatched with my background.

Phone screen (round 1) — A phone screen with an internal manager; I was told working beyond a 9–5 was expected and that they don’t have remote employees.
Phone screen (round 2) — A second phone screen with the same type of manager; they stayed fairly quiet and mostly held back opinions. Outcome: I didn’t move forward, and I left feeling they were looking for more traditional development experience than what I had.
