I had an assessment-led process followed by manager-level interviews, and it was difficult partly due to unclear communication and tight sequencing.

Coding assessment — I completed a coding assessment first.
Recruiter screen (email) — I then did a recruiter screen over email.
Round 1: SWE interview — I met with an engineer for an interview.
Round 2: manager + another interviewer — I joined a second round with a manager and an additional person.

Outcome: No offer; it felt hard to understand the interviewers and I was rejected after the second interview.
