I had a pretty smooth path through the early rounds: I first did a record-yourself interview answering questions, then had a phone call with HR, and then went in person for a team interview.

The progression felt standard and not chaotic.

At the team interview, a lot of what I was asked focused on contracting work. The problem was that I wasn’t fully sure what they meant by that, so it made the conversation a little unclear compared with more straightforward engineering questions. Still, the overall process felt manageable and I didn’t feel like I was being put through something overly stressful.
