San Jose, CAPosted Aug 2015 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I got a call from a corporate recruiter for a position in San Jose, and the process skipped the usual phone screen.

Instead, they asked me directly for an on-site, which they explained was because my current job matched what they were hiring for.

At the office, I talked with around five engineers plus the manager. The interviews felt like a direct fit check, with the conversation flowing across multiple technical perspectives.

I did not get an offer. My honest reflection is that even though it seemed like a good match on paper, the evaluation still depended on a lot more than just having an overlapping background.
