I had a very disappointing start.

The first round was a conversation with a manager, but the interviewer was quiet in a way that didn’t feel like it was meant to be a dialogue. They didn’t really give me a chance to explain my experience before the call moved on.

From my perspective, it didn’t feel like a serious evaluation of fit or skills—it was more like I wasn’t allowed to contribute. After that, I ended up not moving forward.

What I remember most was how mismatched the tone was for an interview: I wanted the discussion to reflect my background, but the format didn’t give me room to show it.
