After things went smoothly earlier, I reached a final coding interview where the interviewer couldn’t explain their questions or feedback clearly. That made it hard to stay focused on the implementation, because I kept feeling like the target was moving while I was trying to build the solution.

What made it sting more was how personal the feedback became afterward—comments that felt unnecessary and hurtful instead of constructive. I walked away frustrated because I believed I was engaging and putting real effort into the work, but the end of the process felt like it was evaluating me on tone
