My interview leaned heavily toward cultural fit, and most of the conversation was about me.

A lot of the questions came back to my time at university.

It felt accessible and they worked to keep things comfortable, so the mood was more about getting to know me than testing hard skills. I didn’t feel like I was walking into a technical exam.

I didn’t get an offer, but I left feeling that the interview achieved its purpose of understanding my background and how I think. My reflection was that it still mattered even without a technical deep dive, because the whole process was about whether I matched what they wanted the team to be.
