The interview process was okay at first, but the deeper conversations didn’t match what I expected technically.

The recruiter largely kept things general, and I didn’t get into the specific technical details I’d prepared for.

Most of the questions were broad enough that my answers depended on expressing my thoughts clearly rather than showcasing narrow expertise. I found myself explaining more in my own words than going step-by-step through technical concepts.

I didn’t receive an offer. The way the recruiter framed the conversation left me feeling like my technical depth wasn’t the main focus, which made the process feel less aligned with what I’d come in ready to discuss.
