Bloomberg Software Engineer interview experience

The interviewers were supportive, and the challenges themselves were tough—but the whole experience felt fair.

They had me write algorithms first and then write code in a language I chose. Even though I couldn’t finish with an offer, the direction of the tasks was consistent: show how I think algorithmically, then translate that into working code. The fairness was the one part I appreciated most, because despite the difficulty, it didn’t feel arbitrary.
