Bloomberg Software Engineer interview experience

Positive

RemoteCandidate report, summarized by Dataford

I went through a fairly structured onsite sequence for the software engineer role.

After the initial stage, I landed in a multi-round loop that felt like it was split across technical depth and leadership evaluation.

Round 1 had me meet with two team leads. I worked through a coding problem and optimized my approach, and the vibe felt positive as I went. Round 2 brought two more team leads where it shifted toward class design plus coding. I solved the core part, then we talked through optimizations and tradeoffs.

Round 3 was with two managers, mixing behavioral questions with basic system design. By Round 4, a director joined, which made the whole thing feel higher-stakes
