Bloomberg·Software Engineer

Bloomberg Software Engineer interview experience

Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My process started with a phone screen connected to the tickerplant organization.

The interviewer essentially set the stage: if I cleared that first screen, there would be a total of four rounds, and one of the rounds would be system design.

I didn’t have the details of every question yet, but that outline alone changed how I thought about the prep. The first call was about getting past the initial filter, and knowing that system design was coming later made the rest of the process feel like it would test both day-to-day coding and higher-level architecture thinking.
