Black & Veatch Software Engineer interview experience

Then, about two weeks later, I was invited to a panel interview that included an HR representative along with other key department leads. The process felt paced and somewhat formal, with HR and leadership in the room early on.

The panel setting made the conversations feel broader than a single hiring manager discussion, since there were multiple people pulling focus. I didn’t get an offer, but the scheduling and the structure—recruiter first, then a leadership-involved panel—left me feeling like they were taking the evaluation seriously rather than treating it as a quick formality.
