My interview ended up being pretty casual and straightforward.

They reviewed my resume and didn’t ask any technical questions. A big part of the conversation felt like it was centered on typical interview themes and me as a person, and I even wondered if having a reference made things feel a bit easier.

One unusual detail was that they asked me to go out to lunch after the interview. It wasn’t framed as hostile or anything, but it did take up extra time and felt a little out of place compared to the interview structure itself. The whole experience was easygoing, even with that odd add-on.
