Redwood City, CAPosted Apr 2025 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

My interview started with a recruiter call, and then I moved into a coding round with a senior engineer along with another engineer.

The main thing that threw me off early was not the difficulty of the problem—it was that I spent time trying to even figure out what the problem they wanted actually was. The interviewer didn’t seem very familiar with the interview tools, and that made the experience more confusing than technical.

Because the setup was shaky, it affected the flow of the actual work. I wasn’t getting steady clarity on the target, so even when I tried to move forward, I felt like I was reacting to the interviewer’s confusion rather than focusing purely on the engineering task.

I didn’t end up with an offer.
