BBC Software Engineer interview experience

It wasn’t just a blind submission for me—I later had a follow-up interview where I had to walk through my approach and answer their questions about what I’d done.

A second round followed, this time with a heavier behavioural focus mixed with technical knowledge checks. Overall it felt fairly standard in pacing and difficulty, and the process was structured around getting clarity on how I thought through the code and how I explained it, not only whether the solution worked.
