Barco Software Engineer interview experience

The experience was described as very formative if I wasn’t used to that style of exercise, and the language setup was a real factor: the interview was in English, but the environment around it was very Flemish and English-mixed.

The hardest part for me wasn’t any single technical question so much as how long the process could take depending on the team—sometimes stretching to multiple months. That made things feel uncertain, especially since responses didn’t always follow unless I kept nudging.

Even with the technical format being something I could handle, I didn’t end up getting an offer.
