I wasn’t recruited from a traditional application flow at first—I came through a mobile development bootcamp partnership, a three-month program where I learned a general overview and reinforced it with projects.

At the end, Backbase did an evaluation of what I’d produced and learned, which became my bridge into the next hiring steps.

From there, the recruiter process ended up being fairly smooth over a few weeks, with an intro call, a home assignment, a technical discussion tied to that work, and then interviews with team leadership and a PO. The part that stayed consistent through everything was that the process felt organized and guided, and even when it became more technical, the flow stayed coherent.
