I interviewed with Backbase for a Senior System Engineer role, and the experience felt disappointing from the logistics onward.

The interview was rescheduled twice because the interviewer didn’t join on time. When it finally happened, the interviewer joined late, and the questions felt misaligned with the senior level I was targeting.

The topics didn’t match the depth I expected for a senior role, and the questions felt more like they belonged to a generalist or startup-style profile. As someone used to working in a well-established MNC, I expected clarity around responsibilities and senior-level evaluation, but instead it felt disorganized and like the interviewer wasn’t prepared or familiar with my background.
