I had a process that was pretty smooth and ended up feeling manageable in scope.

For me, it took just one day overall, and it was structured into three face-to-face rounds. Two of those were technical, and the third was with a manager.

The conversations were grounded in the role, and they focused on technical ability in a direct way rather than turning into abstract puzzles. I remember the process feeling like it had a clear progression—talk to technical folks, then connect it to how I’d work with the team.

Even though it wasn’t a long process, I still felt like they were testing real fit: my technical knowledge in the first rounds and my alignment with the team
