I went into the process expecting problem-solving, but it quickly felt off.

I was essentially expected to memorize HTML code instead of being tested on reasoning, algorithms, or how I approached real tasks.

The interview made it hard to believe they were evaluating potential, since the focus was on recall rather than thinking through problems. The experience was genuinely frustrating and made me question what the company thought the interview should measure.

I didn’t get an offer, and honestly the process left a bad taste because it didn’t feel like it aligned with how developers usually prove themselves—by solving, not memorizing.
