I had a process that actually ended with an offer, which felt like a real win.

I even moved cities at their request, so it wasn’t a casual commitment.

But very close to my start date, they reached out to say they no longer had a position for me. The message was essentially regretful and they wished me luck elsewhere. It was a strange and disorienting outcome after all the momentum.

In the end, I didn’t get to begin with the team I’d been hired for. The part that stuck with me was how quickly everything changed right when it was supposed to become real, and it left the whole interview-to-offer experience feeling more fragile than I expected.
