My journey started with an ordinary HR screen with a recruiter who felt pretty disengaged.

Then I had a hiring manager interview as a second step. The third round was the one that felt most intense: it was a panel-style mock demo.

I was expected to invent basically everything for the demo—constructing the customer scenario, shaping the solution, building out the demo environment, and preparing the slides—then handle the panel’s questions and objections live. What surprised me was how little recognition there was for the work itself. It felt like the focus was entirely on how I responded during interruptions, rather than the effort that went into crafting the demo materials.
