Argonne National Laboratory Research Scientist interview experience

Got offer

United StatesPosted Oct 2014 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I applied after seeing the opening on their website, then heard back quickly—a call came the very next day for further screening.

A couple of days after that, I was invited for a site visit, so the process moved fast at least through the early steps.

After that, things seemed to stretch into a more typical multi-week timeline. I remember making initial contact by phone with my supervisors and a group of scientists, and then waiting a couple of weeks to get the formal invite. The job offer followed soon after the onsite interview, with another short turnaround—at least in my timeline it felt fairly straightforward and not overly drawn out.
