I had a short single-round interview that lasted about 30 minutes, and it focused on basics but directly tied to the security side of the role.

We went through fundamentals around networking, cyber security topics, and even details like public and private keys, plus how logging fits into security work.

The interviewer guided me a bit as the conversation progressed, and the tone stayed positive rather than combative. It didn’t feel like I was being trapped by obscure trivia; it felt more like a sanity check on whether I understood the core concepts well enough.

I didn’t receive an offer, but the interaction itself was smooth. I came away with the sense that the team valued clarity and fundamentals more than memorizing exact answers.
