Aqr Capital Management Software Engineer interview experience

From the start, the interviewer’s demeanor threw me off—he was genuinely rude and even walked out several times during the process.

He still asked follow-up questions, but the way they connected to my work felt off. The questions were only vaguely related to what I’d actually done, and instead seemed more tied to his own interests and projects. It was hard to get a clear read on what the evaluation criteria were because the interaction itself was so disruptive. Honestly, it left me with the most negative impression I’d had up to that point, and there wasn’t an offer.
