San Francisco, CAPosted Jun 2025 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I applied and got an email saying they thought my application was promising, then they sent me a CodeSignal assignment.

After I completed it, they replied that I did very well—yet they rejected me anyway.

What made it especially hard to process was that it happened without any interviews at all. There was no live conversation, no technical discussion, no opportunity to clarify anything or show my reasoning beyond the automated screen.

It felt abrupt and oddly final: passing the test didn’t translate into moving forward, and there wasn’t any human explanation behind why.
