The meeting started late, with the manager showing up nearly 10 minutes after it began, so I reached out by email to ask about the delay. The manager later explained he was detained and would join about 10 minutes later.

Once he did arrive, it still left a bad impression on me because the whole start felt careless. After that, the rest of the process I experienced was more about fit and finalizing the path forward rather than a huge sequence of technical hurdles. I ended up not getting to an offer, but what stayed with me was how the tone of that early hiring manager meeting set expectations
