I interviewed for a research role through HR and a team panel, but the long onsite plus lack of follow-up left a sour ending.

HR phone interview — an initial short call with HR.
Senior researcher phone interview — a second short phone conversation with a senior researcher.
Onsite interview — a ~2.5 hour visit in which I met local HR, sat through a three-person team panel, completed a one-hour analytical task, and then had a short debrief with HR.
Post-interview communication — I was told I’d hear back within a week but received no response even after multiple follow-up emails. Outcome: I didn’t get an offer; the takeaway was that the onsite experience itself was strong, but poor
