American Express Data Analyst interview experience

After that, I went through two rounds of technical interviews. Each one tested problem-solving and also touched on domain knowledge, so it wasn’t just abstract questions.

The last step was an HR round that shifted gears toward how I communicated and how I fit culturally. It felt like the process was organized and intentional—technical enough to measure how I think, then more people-focused at the end. I didn’t end up getting an offer, but the overall structure and the way the questions were distributed across stages made the experience feel coherent rather than random.
