My interview sequence centered on three clear areas: my job experience, my studying background, and then a coding test.

For job experience, they asked me to describe what I’d done in my most recent role. Then they moved into studying—courses I’d taken and my master’s thesis.

The coding test was practical and a bit time-pressured. They gave me a specific problem they said was useful on the job, and while I worked through it they also asked me to optimize it in parallel. That combination of solving and improving at the same time made it feel more realistic than just getting to a working solution.

I got an offer. Overall it felt average in difficulty, but the optimization-on-the-fly part pushed me to stay sharp
