I reached out to recruiters and got pulled into what sounded like a straightforward Amazon loop for a senior level role.

There wasn’t an HR screening step, and instead I went straight into a single technical interview that lasted about an hour with a senior engineer.

What surprised me was the process detail: I was told to be prepared for what started as a phone interview but ended up being delivered as a video call. The questions felt like a typical live technical screen—focused and direct—so I kept my answers structured and worked through the reasoning clearly.

Overall it felt fairly average in difficulty, and I didn’t end up receiving an offer afterward.
