Alten Software Engineer interview experience

Got offer

Negative

My experience turned out badly and felt like a letdown.

I was given an offer contract and I accepted it, then I was told to wait. After that, things went quiet for about a week and the explanation was that they were checking with the client company.

Eventually the truth came out: the client had already hired someone else. The difficulty level was easy on paper, but the real issue wasn’t technical—it was trust and follow-through. I ended up with no offer, and honestly the reflection I had right after was that the process treated my commitment as negotiable, which made the whole experience feel like a bait-and-switch.
