I showed up expecting a normal technical conversation, but the experience felt completely off.

There was no meaningful discussion of my project and no brainstorming at all. Instead, the whole thing took a bizarre turn where personal identity details seemed to be treated like the deciding factor.

Honestly, it felt like a waste of time rather than a genuine evaluation, and it didn’t give me any fair chance to explain my work or demonstrate how I think. I didn’t get an offer, and my reflection after that was that the process lacked any real substance or respect for competence.
