I started with a basic screen where they asked about my experience and my skills.

The interviewer was pleasant and the questions were centered on the project I was working on, so I felt like I could explain myself.

Even after I answered their questions, I still didn’t understand what I was supposed to have gotten wrong. The communication after the call was the part that stung: the interviewer effectively ghosted me, and I didn’t get any closure on what the decision was. With no offer coming through, the lingering feeling was confusion rather than uncertainty about the technical content.
