I joined a Webex interview that ran about an hour and a half with a team leader and another team member.

Most of the session was focused on system design for something similar to work I’d already done, and they asked about design decisions in depth.

They also asked me to draw a diagram of the system using Webex’s annotation tools, but the tooling didn’t work properly, which made the visualization part more stressful than it should’ve been. The difficulty felt difficult, and I didn’t end up with an offer. My reflection was that even when the intent was to evaluate design thinking, the broken collaboration tooling got in the way.
