I had a structured interview path that started with a recruiter connection and then moved into rounds that felt like they were probing how deeply I understood specific topics.

After someone reached out and described the job well, I was scheduled for early interviews, and the final panel centered on my thinking about CDNs and how I reasoned through technical questions.

What bothered me came after the interview. I was told they were interviewing internal candidates after already evaluating me, and that made the whole sequence feel wasteful from my perspective—like my time was being used without a clear decision process behind it.

In another similar stretch, the early steps were also clearly staged: a phone screen with behavioral questions, then a video interview
