Akamai Software Engineer interview experience

I remember sitting through a mix that included multiple-choice items as well as database and coding components—there were multi-choice questions, a couple of database coding tasks, and Java coding tasks in one setup I saw.

In another similar flow, the HackerRank stage included a SQL question, a C coding question, and a Bash scripting task where I had to work with files to identify unique IP addresses and then route results into other files. Overall, the vibe was that the test was meant to quickly check whether I could work across different practical tooling (SQL, C, and shell scripting)
