I got reached out to by a recruiter through LinkedIn and they asked me to fill out an application form.

I completed it, and then I received an automated rejection email. I followed up because the outreach had felt proactive, and they told me the interview was cancelled—without any clear reasoning.

The whole thing was confusing and frustrating because it felt like the process had already started, and then it abruptly disappeared after the automated step. It wasn’t a gradual “not selected after a round” feeling; it was more like I was pulled in and then removed from the schedule.

In the end, there was no real interview journey to speak of beyond the initial recruiter contact and the application
