The phone screening was followed by a meeting with the supervisor, but that next step turned into a hassle because of her availability.

I had to drive about an hour and a half just to meet at a Walmart McDonald’s, and honestly it made the whole thing feel less serious than it should’ve been.

When I finally met her, the conversation itself was pretty informal—nothing heavily structured—and she asked basic questions. The issue for me wasn’t the questions so much as the disorganization around scheduling and the setting. I didn’t have a sense of a polished interview experience, but she still got through the basic screening and moved things along.
