Toledo, OHPosted Sep 2013 · Candidate report, summarized by Dataford

I went through a multi-step, slightly unusual hiring process that went beyond interviews into field work and a second wave of candidate screening.

Application + panel interview — I completed the online application and then did a panel interview with a commercial sales manager, a retail district manager, and HR; questions were basic and often framed in STAR-style.
Ride-along / field experience — After the panel, I spent hours in the field with an incumbent rep making sales calls and visiting retail locations.
Second round opened — After that field portion, I was told a new interview round would be opened to see if other candidates also qualified.
Extended field day decision — I was contacted after that and ended
